Mod Headband

So, I was browsing one of my favorite websites … you know it … the one that starts with E and ends with Y.  This is the place where you can type in any craft you want and find 500 people selling that item.  I don’t think it’s worth my while to try and sell there.  Too much competition.  But I do like to browse and get ideas/inspiration.  I saw someone selling these absolutely adorable Mod Headbands (that’s not what she calls them, but it’s what came to mind when I saw them) and so I had to try to reproduce them.  Here is what I came up with.

I think it turned out super cute.  I think I will add these to the list of items to make for the craftacular in December.  Would love to hear your opinion.  Oh, and I will be posting a tutorial so that you can make your own should you desire.

Some of my recent work

Here are some of the items that I’ve been working on recently.  They range from simple yarn rosette bobby pins ($5.00 for a pair) to multi-strand yarn necklaces with removable embellished flowers ($15.00).  This means that you can wear the necklace without the flower for a more casual look or attach the flower for a more dressy look.

But, I think my favorite items are the multi-strand headbands.  At the base of each headband, there are two crocheted leaves with cute little crystal dangles attached to them ($12.00).  The headbands are also embellished with bows or flowers. Everything is made out of 100% cotton so they are cool and soft.  They are a pleasure to wear year round.
